Ethan Charalambous
About me

Hi, I'm Ethan.

I'm a final-year Product Design student at the University of Sussex. I design from user research: I test ideas early with the people who will use them, and I change the design based on what I learn.

My final-year project, VisNav, pairs haptic wristbands with an app to give visually impaired sailors steering cues. I've also worked on live briefs for Stanley Black & Decker, Bird & Blend Tea Co. and Schofield Watch Company, and won the Global Design Challenge with a bamboo farm to clean the Jukskei River and ease housing pressure in Makers Valley.

I graduate in summer 2027 and I'm available for full-time product design roles from June 2027.

What I'm good at

  • User testing and iteration
  • Inclusive design
  • 3D printing and workshop prototyping
  • Basic mechanisms
  • Arduino for prototyping
